About Us
Our History
Bike-On started in 1999 with Scott and Lynn Pellett and a simple goal: make cycling accessible to everyone. What began in a closet quickly grew into something bigger. After meeting adaptive athletes at the NYC Marathon in 2001, Scott teamed up with Charlie Croteau and Bob Hicks to develop new products like the C5 handgrips. By 2004, with help from Andy Barker, they launched the first Quad Enabling handcycle.
A Family Owned Business
Even after the loss of Andy in 2010, the mission stayed strong. Over time, the next generation stepped in. Chris Coyne, Dan Pellett, and Kyle Printer brought new energy and ideas. The company expanded in 2012 and again in 2015. In 2021, Scott and Lynn passed the torch to Dan and Chris, keeping it a true family operation.
Today, Bike-On is still rooted in Rhode Island, still pushing boundaries, and still committed to helping people ride. From handcycles to recumbents to custom solutions, we are here to make sure everyone has a way to roll forward.
